We have designed our Christmas card over the last 5 years. After many sketches and ideas, this is what my wife and I came up with for 2009. I feel it turned out pretty well. From my family to yours, Happy Holidays!
My daughter loves to be outside and one of her favorite places in the world is the park. When it was time to have her party, there was no place better than to have it at the park. She had so much fun. When it was time to send out thank you cards, I wanted to keep with the theme of the park. This is what I came up with.
Sorry I haven't posted anything in a long time. We ended up moving and are in the process of purchasing a new home. Life has been crazy with that and the holidays. I am going to try to get back on track by adding more posts and I will start with this one. My daughter turned 2 in November and this is the design I created for her birthday invitations. She has changed so much in one year, its unbelievable.
When the word of the week turned out to be contagious, my mind instantly went to the swine flu. I wonder if this is what the virus looks like in a microscope.
Mother's Cookies Cookie Parade. One of the gems of my childhood. To open a brand new bag and to see these frosted animal cookies as hidden treasures among the regular cookies was a treat. And to go to the grocery store years later to see that they have bags with just these frosted animal cookies. Life doesn't get any better.
Here was the first idea I had for Illustration Friday's "Poise" subject matter. I ended up going with the malled mailman instead. I thought it was a bit funnier. I still like this drawing of a rooster so i decided I would post it as well.
So here is my first entry into Illustration Friday and I had so much fun doing it. Recently, I have been reading a bunch of animal books to my 1 year old daughter and came up with this idea. What could be more embarrassing then a zebra losing some of its beloved stripes.
My soon to be sister-in-law is graduating from a nursing program tomorrow. She asked me to design a creative graduation announcement for her so I designed this caricature of her.
To start things off, here is something I created for my daughters birthday. She turned one in November and this is the design I created for her birthday invitations.
